Industrial Medical Council

The Industrial Medical Council (IMC) is the medical unit within the State's workers' compensation system. The Council examines and appoints physicians to be Qualified Medical Evaluators (QMEs). QMEs perform the examinations of injured workers that help determine the level of benefits to be received by a worker. The Council has also created treatment guidelines for physicians to use as they consider various treatment methods for injuries that occurred at work.
