In August of 1994, the California Workers' Compensation
system took a major step onto the information superhighway by introducing their Electronic
Data Exchange (EDEX) which allow parties to electronically file liens and obtain
information about specific Workers' Compensation cases. EDEX was developed by the Division
of Workers' Compensation to allow subscribers and their clients to electronically file
liens (including resident
Pre-Application liens), receive
notification of significant events in a case, and make inquiries about cases that are
before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
We will provide the following to clients who assign us their cases at no additional charge:
- Immediate notification of any significant events
- Case inquiry by Social Security Number or WCAB
Case Number
- Pre-Application liens (We can post a standing inquiry with the WCAB
and notify you when a case actually opens and when hearing date is assigned)
- Hard Copy "Green Lien" available at
no extra charge.
The above is also
available to clients at a fee if case is not assigned to us for
recovery.
